MaP Graduate Symposium 2021
The 16th edition of the MaP Graduate Symposium took place on 14 & 15 June 2021. The D-MATL was again successfully represented this year, with several high-class talks and poster presentations. Many of the awards went to members of D-MATL.
MaP Award 2021 Finalist
Chiao-Peng Hsu (Soft Materials and Interfaces) was one of the three finalists and was acknowledged for his outstanding doctoral theses.
MaP Poster Award
1st place for Marco Binneli (Complex Materials). Marco first convinced the jury and in the final also the audience with his 2-min Flash Poster Presentation. 3rd place for Wilhelm Woigk (Complex Materials).
MaP People's Choice Poster Prize 2021
The MaP People's Choice Poster Award went to Xavier Guichard (Multifunctional Materials) for his poster on "Inorganic oxide nanophosphors: synthesis: synthesis, luminescence and processing".
Industry Poster Awards
The Industry Poster Awards of CHF 500 have been awared to:
- avantama: Most Significant Commercialisation Potential: Fangwei Guo (Multifunctional Materials)
- MERCK: Polymer Synthesis: Kostas Parkatzidis (Polymeric Materials)
- LUCIDEON: Game-changing Materials Technology Poster Award: Maxence Menétrey (Laborartoy for Nanometallurgy)
MaP Image Contest
The audience voted in the Best Image Contest for the contribution by Andrea Testa (Soft and Living Materials).
MaP Mastermind 2021
Andrea Rich (Metal Physics and Technology) is MaP Mastermind 2021. She answered 15 of the 16 scientific quizzes following every presentation session correctly.
