Prof. Dr. Nicola A. Spaldin
Prof. Dr. Nicola A. Spaldin is currently professor and director of the International Center for Materials Research at the University of California in Santa Barbara (USA). She was appointed by the ETH Board as full professor of Material Theory.
Nicola Spaldin is a multi award-winning researcher in the field of coupling of magnetic and electric material properties. Particularly successful is Spaldin's combination of results of basic research with new, modern computing and simulation methods. These combinations enable the discovery and development of new materials.
