Alessandro Lauria received his M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2004, and has been research fellow at the Consortium for Advanced Materials Research (CORIMAV), funded by Pirelli- Labs. In 2008 he received his PhD in the Group for Functional Glass-based Materials & Nanostructured Glassceramics at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, where he also had a postdoctoral stay studying nanoscintillators. In 2012 he joined the Laboratory for Multifunctional Materials for postdoctoral studies. Since 2018 he is Group Leader in the MFM group.
His research focuses on preparation methods and the structure/function relationship in luminescent nanoparticles toward functional inks and nanoparticle-based advanced optical materials.
