Athina Anastasaki Selected as one of the Chemical & Engineering News Talented 12
Athina Anastasaki, Head of the Laboratory of Polymeric Materials, has been selected as one of the Chemical & Engineering News Talented 12, which recognizes young rising stars in chemistry who are not afraid of taking risk in the early stages of their career.

Nominees should be age 42 or younger and taking risks in the early stages of their career. Academic candidates should not yet have attained a permanent professorship (called pre-tenure in the U.S.), and government or industry scientists should be less than a decade out from their postdoctoral position. The awardees were selected from nearly 400 nominations put forward by C&EN's readers and they will be honoured during an award symposium at ACS Fall 2023 in San Francisco, from August 13-17.
